Johanna Shriver

Johanna Shriver-Halligan, LMHC holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in music therapy from Lesley University. Clinical experience includes work in community centers, high schools, inpatient psychiatric care, and outpatient care. She has worked with clients presenting across the lifespan, and with a wide variety of diagnoses. 


Johanna is a Board Certified music therapist, and has extensive experience in using music as a healing agent for clients. She has conducted extensive research on the use of music as a tool in healthy emotion regulation. Johanna combines music and expressive therapies with cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy in order to truly meet clients where they are in their process. She encourages her clients to take an active role in the treatment process, and has clinical interests in anxiety and depression disorders, grief and loss, trauma, and mental health issues that arise in women's health. She currently works with clients of all ages, along with families and couples.
