Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist

Michael Pizza, MS, PMHCNS-BC, APRN, has over 20 years of professional experience in the field of psychiatry, working with the adult patient population. He has an undergraduate nursing degree from Fitchburg State University and a Master’s degree in adult mental health-psychiatric nursing from Rivier University where he did intensive internship work with combat war veterans and others who suffer from PTSD and other trauma disorders. He has over 10 years inpatient experience working with a bipolar and psychotic patient population. He has worked with the older adult patient population as a consultant-liaison and prescribing practitioner, he has worked in various outpatient mental health clinics throughout the state as an adult prescribing practitioner for the last ten years. 

He has most recently been treating patients through telehealth, and he has helped many patients who struggle with dual diagnosis. He has treated patients from various backgrounds and cultures. He sees patients 18 years and older, and he is licensed to treat patients in MA, CT, and NH.
